Life coaching is a process in which a coach helps individuals identify and achieve their personal goals. The coach works with the client to create a plan of action and provides support and guidance throughout the process.
Psychologists and psychotherapists help treat mental illness, cope with loss, abuse, trauma, and goal setting by focusing on the past to move forward in the future. These professionals hold a Ph D and are recognized in Quebec by the Ordre des psychologues du Québec.
Life coaches focus on goals. This involves working on mindset shifts with the goal of increasing emotional wellbeing, motivation, and the desire to learn new skills.
Life coaches do not provide receipts for insurance purposes. However, they may hold a separate designation recognized by insurers.
I offer payment receipts but not for tax purposes.
Choosing between a life coach and a therapist depends on your specific needs, goals, and circumstances. Both professionals can provide valuable support, but they have different areas of focus and methods.
